AES : DONT BLAME IT ON THE GOVERNMENT

Just to share pada yg marah2 pada AES just because depa kena saman....

Base on my best memory and knowledge on Highway & Traffic Engineering (one of the subject in Civil Engineering) about 35 years ago....all speed limits are design & decided by the Highway Engineers during the design stage...not the policeman or JPJ.

Normally various parameters which decide the speed limit...among those the super elevation, road grade, intersection, traffic volume and technical problems that crop out after construction, such as road settlement.

And another important factor is the "budget" which decide the toll rate for privatised highways.......hence we cant compare with Europe Autobahn....since they are willing to pay more....

And normally these design criteria will be part of the risk management coverage that has to be borne by the Highway Owner....

At one time, our former Work Minister, Datuk Seri Samy Vellu has proposed the speed limit for all toll highways to be increased, but apparently this does not materialised.....perhaps due to this legal & technical constraint...

So kalau nak marah pasai kena saman....atau speed limit yg konon nya bodoh....the best person or body yg kita nak marah is the Consultant Engineer for the Project......not PDRM, JPJ or Govt itself.....
